Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
Resolution #1999-005, ratified on 01-10-1999, approved the purchase of89 Motorola WS520
Mobile Data Computers (MDCs) for use in Police patrol vehicles and Fire apparatus.
Resolution #1999-309, ratified on 12-06-1999, approved the purchase of 52 Motorola WS520
Mobile Data Computer (MDCs) for use in Police patrol vehicles.
Recommended Motion:

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
RENEWAL OF THE EXISTING MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR POLICE AND FIRE
MOBILE DATA COMPUTERS (MDCS) WITH MOTOROLA CORPORATION OF
RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION I. That Motorola Corporation is a sole source provider of maintenance
services for the Mobile Data Computers (MDCS) used by the San Bernardino Police and Fire
Departments.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Common Council authorize the Purchasing
Manager to issue a purchase order for $ 27,072.00 to Motorola, Corporation, of
Riverside, California for maintenance services.
