PROMOTION: Community Service Representative II to SHO Grant Analyst, Range 1397, Step 4, $3722/mo., Eff: 6/5/01. 3 POSITION JUSTIFICATIONS The following are justifications for classified appointments, promotions and other personnel actions to be reviewed by the Mayor and Common Council at the June 4, 2001 Council meeting. CLASSIFIED GENERAL FUND 1-3. Eauioment Mechanic I (Adame. B: Farmer. S: Whiteman. T)- Appointments PUBLIC SERVICES These are three (3) existing vacant positions. The incumbents will provide maintenance service to the City's fleet. These employees, combined with the rest of the maintenance staff, ensure employees throughout the City are driving safe vehicles in good repair. This position reduces the need to send vehicle repairs to outside vendors at a higher cost. 36. SHO Grant Analvst (Hamlin. J.) - Promotion POLICE DEPARTMENT The incumbent was hired temporarily in March and has been in the position since then. This is a grant-funded position so there will be no cost to the City. This new position is a juvenile habitual offender analyst who will track and prosecute juveniles who continually commit the majority of the crime. The incumbent's experience of 17 years with the Police Department will provide for a smooth transition and will enable the department to get the program up an running in a timely manner. #8 6/4/01
