Staff Report
Subiect:
Set luncheon workshop for March 5, 2001 at 12:00 noon regarding the proposed Proposition 12,
State Bond Initiative Spending Plan.
Backl!round:
Proposition 12 was passed in March 2000, which allocated $2.1 billion for National Park
Projects. The County of San Bernardino was allocated $26,294,774, while the city with its
185,000 residents will receive $2,266,250 after July 1, 2001.
On February 23, 2000, the Mayor and Common Council adopted Resolution 2000-32, which
endorsed the passage of Proposition 12. The Parks and Recreation Commission approved this
spending plan at their October meeting. Staff will present their recommended spending plan at
this luncheon workshop.

Recommendation:
Staff recommends that a workshop be set for 12:00 p.m., March 5, 2001 at the Economic
Development boardroom to receive information regarding the recommended spending plan from
State's Proposition 12 Bond Initiative.
