DESCRIPTION) Finance: Council Notes: 15.0262 Agenda Item No.J '3 elTV OF SAN BERtC:RDINO - REQUEST QR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Effective July 01, 1992 the Department of Motor Vehicles administrative services fee for placing parking violation holds increased from one dollar ($1.00) to three ($3.00) due to increased costs for the ongoing program and recent improvements. The increase also covers a portion of the cost for implementation of the Social Security number collection program. This Division estimates approximately 40% of all parking citations issued will be placed on DMV hold. The proposed bail schedule will off set the new charges by DMV and should only minimally increase projected revenues for fiscal year 92-93. The San Bernardino Municipal Court has agreed to consider the proposed amendments to the uniform bail schedule prior to the next scheduled annual bail meeting. It is the intention of this Division to establish a target date of January 01, 1993 for implementation of the increase in order to allow adequate time for printing of new citations.
