CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Resolution 89-504 designated certain City officers to sign
applications for funds under the Federal Civil Defense Act of 1950.
Resolution No. 91-237 substituted Shauna Edwins for Marhsall Julian
and Resolution No. 91-430 substituted Shauna Clark for Shauna
Edwins.
We have had a request to consolidate all of the resolutions
into one document. In doing that we found that there has not been
a resolution adding the Fire Chief as Assistant Director of
Emergency Services.
This resolution updates the title of those authorized to sign
the documents and consolidates all of the resolutions into one
document for purposes of simplification.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DIRECTOR, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, DISASTER
PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR, AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS REPRESENTATIVE
OF EMERGENCY SERVICES TO EXECUTE APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FEDERAL
CIVIL DEFENSE ACT OF 1950, AS AMENDED, EFFECTIVE JULY 5, 1988, AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NOS. 89-504, 90-327 AND 91-430.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council amended Municipal Code
S 2.46.050 by Ordinance No. MC-747, approved on October 17, 1990;
and,
WHEREAS, such amendment to Municipal Code S 2.46.050
designated the Mayor as Executive Director of Emergency Services,
the City Administrator as Director of Emergency Services, and the
Fire Chief as Assistant Director of Emergency Services, and
created the position of Disaster Preparedness Coordinator;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The following named individuals are hereby
authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of San
Bernardino, a publiC entity established under the laws of the
State of California, applications and documents for the purpose of
obtaining financial assistance under the Federal Civil Defense Act
of 1950, as amended (50 U.S.C. app. 2251-2303):

Assistant Director

SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
SECTION 3. Resolution Nos. 89-504, 91-327 and 91-430 are
hereby repealed.
