Synopsis of Previous Council action:
8-21-89 -- Resolution No. 89-323, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a Security Services, Street Sweeping and Street
Light MaintenancefEnergy Costs district in the Highland Avenue and
Arden Avenue area.
6-19-89 -- Resolution No. 89-216, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by the security services, street
sweeping and street light maintenance/energy costs.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the prov1s10ns of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 89-323 and 89-216, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 990 (Highland and Arden
Security and Maintenance District) has been prepared and is attached to the..
Resolution.
The roll for 1992-93 totals $ 59,082.86 and is submitted to your Honorable
Body for action as required.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1992-93 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 990, HIGHLAND AND ARDEN SECURITY AND
3 MAINTENANCE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-323, the Mayor and Common Council
found that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the
formation of a security services, street sweeping and street
light
maintenance/energy costs district; and
WHEREAS ,
by said Resolution No. 89-323, the Mayor and Common
Council formed an assessment district known as Assessment District No. 990
for the purpose of providing security services, street sweeping and street
light maintenance/energy costs in the area of Highland and Arden Avenues
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino City
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-216, the Mayor and Common Council
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said district
will be benefited by the security services, street sweeping and street light
maintenance/energy costs; and
WHEREAS ,
said Resolution No. 89-322 declared that an annual
assessment shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding

for said security services. street sweeping and street light maintenance I

1 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totaling $59,082.86
2 which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied on each of the
3 parcels of land within Assessment District No. 990 for the fiscal year 1992-
4 93;

6 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
7 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

9 SECTION 1. That the Mayor and COlDIDon Council do hereby find and
10 determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of
11 land within Assessment District No. 990 are correctly set forth on Assessment
12 Holl No. YYU tor the tiscal year 1yn-Y::J, designated as Exhibit "A" and
13 attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.

15 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
16 Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the
17 County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
18 placed on the subject 1992-93 property tax bills for collection together
19 with all other property taxes.
