APPROVAL OF $971. 00 FROM THIRD STAFF REPORT
WARD PARK EXTENSION FUNDS FOR
THE ACQUISITION OF A TELEVISION
FOR NICHOLSON COMMUNITY CENTER.
The acquisition of a television for Nicholson Center would
enable the staff to meet a wider range of interest by the
center patrons. The T.V. would be used primarily by the
seniors who patronize the facility for the Senior Nutrition
Program and other senior programs. The unit to be selected
includes a built-in VCR which will allow for the viewing of
informational programs. Educational programs for children
can also be viewed on an occasional basis. Several of the
city's community centers also have televison sets. The
T.V. for Nicholson was recommended by the Nicholson Center
Advisory Board.
This request has been coordinated with the Council Office.
