There is hereby created the San Bernardino Garden ColIaborative Food Policy Council ("Food Policy Council") which shalI consist of fifteen (15) members, each appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the Common Council, and each serving at the 11 pleasure of the Mayor and Common Council. 12 SECTION 2. The Food Policy Council shall: A. Actively seek advice from community councils on nutrition and health the general public for the purpose of making recommendations to the Mayor and Common Council on issues of concern regarding food security. Explore alternative funding possibilities to promote sustainabiIity of the 11 San Bernardino Garden Collaborative, and the development and implementation of projects and 12 programs that would promote food security in the City of San Bernardino. 13 D. Hold public meetings to gather input on issues of concern regarding food 14 security with the general public and other interested individuals. 15 16 17 E.
