Plans for the improvement of Phase 11-8 of Rio Vista
(Anne Shirrells) Park, have' been prepared by the Engineering Divi-
sion, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The
project consists, in general, of constructing a Little League
Baseball Field, with restroom/concession/storage building and
lighting system, and extending the internal service road and
parking areas.
The following 7 Additive Alternates will be included in
the bid documents. Any or all of these alternates can be included
in the contract, subject to availability of funds.

This project was continued by the Environmental Review
Committee to 9-17-87. If it is cleared by the ERC on this date,
the Conditional Use Permit will go before the Planning Commission
on 10-06-87. The deadline for appeals will be 10-21-87. Therefore,
the earliest that the contract can be awarded is 11-02-87.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
