Synopsis of Previous Council action:

Allocation of $10,000. for construction of a horse-
shoe pitching pit, approved in the 1985~86 CDBG
Program.
Allocation of $20,000, for construction of a 270-
sq. ft. storage room, approved in the 1986-87
CDBG Program.
Recommended motion:
That the plans for construction of a storage room and horseshoe
pitching pit at the Center for Individuals with Disabilities, in
accordance with Plan No. 7279, be approved; and the Director of
Public Works/City Engineer authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for these improvements have been prepared by the
Engineering Division, and the project is ready to be advertised
for bids.
The project will consist of constructing a 234 sq. ft.
storage building and a horseshoe pitching pit. A 240 sq. ft.
storage building will be included as Additive Alternate "A".
This second storage building will be included in the contract
if sufficient funds are available.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:

An amount of $20,000 has been allocated, under Account
No. 121-544-57557, for the storage building, and $10,000, under
Account No. 121-544-57555, for the horseshoe pitching pit, for
a total amount available of $30,000.
A finding that this project is needed for health and
safety reasons will not be needed, since it is not located
within the City limits.
Environmental review was handled by the County, since ~
the project is within their jurisdiction.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authoriza-
tion granted to advertise for bids.
