Schweitzer, Mayor Evlyn Wilcox, Roger Hardgrave, Manuel P. Moreno, Ann Siracusa. ------------------------------------------------------------- At the last Ways and Means Committee meeting, we reviewed the list of streets that was presented to Sanbag by Roger Hard- grave, Director of Public Works. Essentially, this list was used by Wes McDaniel to show the voters on the ballot what local streets would be improved by the passage of this 1/2 cent sales tax. The Committee felt that any streets listed on the ballot must absolutely be completed in the first five years to maintain credibility with the voting public. It is essential that you review the enclosed list of streets as shown on the ballot in order that a final recommendation can be made to Wes McDaniel and any necessary wording corrected. After the September 8th Council meeting, we will be "locked in" to streets shown on the ballot. The State measure that allows this matter to be place on the ballot requires that the City Council adopt a 5 year list annually, for the next 15 years. If you need to review an inventory of streets requiring maintenance or reconstruction, please contact Junior Moreno or Roger Hardgrave. The Ways and Means Committee has suggested to the City Admin- istrator, that the Monday workshop at the September 8th Council Meeting, once again, have the 1/2 cent sales tax issue as the topic. Included in the discussion will be Junior Moreno, Roger Hardgrave, Glenda Saul and Ann Siracusa. Should you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me. ~. ~~ -,{ ~ 7 ~ ~ ~ <--=- ESTHER ESTRADA Councilwoman, First Ward ?o:l--: ~ -"" ~ ( ~ \-~ (:l() ::::.~ I) () 1; fJJ I.'! ~ :\>' -- "-East va1lev - - t t or l.'mprove bridges on Waterman, E San Bernardino: Cons ruc Piedmont, Little League Drive, H Street, Lynwood.
