STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-87-47
The proposed purchase is for One 3/4 Ton Pick-up With Utility Body to be utilized
by the Public Works/Traffic Department. At the request of the department and in
co-ordination with the Equipment Superintendent, appropriate specifications were
prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened
June 12, 1987. The following is a summary of bids received.

Twenty-nine (29) bidders were solicited, nine (9) responded, five (5) with "NO BID".
five (5) with prices.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Public Works Oirector and Equipment
Superintendent who concur, that the bid of De Anza Chevrolet meets specifications and
requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. The
funding of $14,600.39 is in the 1986/87 Budget.

RESOLUTI ON NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO DE ANZA
CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE 3/4 TON PICK-UP WITH
UTILITY BODY TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS/TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-47.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO WAS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. De Anza Chevrolet is the lowest and best bidder for the
furnishing and delivery of one 3/4 ton pick-up with utility body in
accordance with Bid Specification F-87-47 for the total amount of
$14,600.39; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said 3/4 ton pick-up
with utility bOdy to said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be
effective upon the issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and
all other bids therefor are hereby rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
