STAFF REPORT
The Engineering Division was requested to examine the need for
a stop sign for south-bound traffic on Grand Avenue at College Avenue.
College Avenue is a 64'-wide, curb to curb street and
functions as a collector street in a newly developed residential area. The
traffic volume on College Avenue at Grand Avenue is expected to increase
after the completion of several residential developments in the vicinity.
This request was presented to the Mayor's Traffic Safety Com-
mittee for their review on May 13, 1987. The Committee recommended that the
stop sign for southbound traffic on Grand Avenue at College Avenue be
approved.

NO. 2482 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION . . . DESIGNATING CERTAIN
3 STREET INTERSECTIONS WHERE A STOP IS REQUIRED . . ." 1 AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON GRAND AVENUE AT COLLEGE
4 AVENUE.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

7 SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2482, which designates certain
street intersections where a stop is required, Section One
8 Subsection 17.55 is amended to read as follows:
9 "(17.55) For the purpose of stopping traffic entering
10 COLLEGE AVENUE at its intersection with the following streets:
11 Varsity Avenue - Southbound only
12 Citadel Avenue
13 Grand Avenue"
14 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
15 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
16 San Bernardino at a
