Resolution No. 86-437 adopted awarding a contract to
IPS Services, for an annual cost of $52,160.52
06-15-87 -- Extension of contract with IPS for 90 days approved,
and Director of Public Works/City Engineer authorized
to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were opened at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
8-4-87.
A total of 2 bids were received, in the amounts of
$42,000.00 and $52,160.52.
The low bidder was pre-qualified by Mr. Wayne Overstreet,
Public 8uildings Superintendent.
An amount of $52,000 was included in the $266.262 proposed
in the 1987-88 Budget, under Account No. 001-323-53155, to finance
the costs for sweeping services.
Listed below is an estimate of the cost for sweeping
services for this fiscal year.
IPS Services (7-1-87 to 9-30-87) 3 X $4,346.71 = $13,040.13
Arrow Power
Sweeping (10-1-87 to 6-30-88) 9 X $3,500.00 = 31,500.00
$44,540.13
The contract may be extended for two additional years, by
mutual agreement between the City and Contractor.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO ARROW POWER SWEEPING FOR PROVIDING SWEEPING SERVICES
FOR CENTRAL CITY MALL SURFACE PARKING SPACES AND THREE-LEVEL
PARKING STRUCTURE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Arrow Power Sweeping is the lowest
7 responsible bidder for providing Sweeping Services for Central
8 City Mall Surface Parking Spaces and Three-Level Parking Structure
9 in accordance with Plan No. 7085, for the total annual amount of
10 $42,000.00, a contract is awarded to said bidder accordingly, but
11 such award shall be effective only upon the contract being fully
12 executed by the parties; all other bids therefor are hereby
13 rejected; and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
14 execute said contract on behalf of the City; a copy of the
15 contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated
16 herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length,
17
SECTION 2. Execution and Amendments. This contract and
18 any amendments or modifications thereto shall not take effect or
19 become operative until fully signed and executed by the parties
20 and no party shall be obl igated hereunder until the time of such
21 full execution. No oral agreements, amendments, modifications or
22 waivers are intended or authorized and shall not be implied from
23 any act or course of conduct of any party.

1 HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
25 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
26 Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
27 the day of , 1987, by the following vote,
