Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Resolution 83-273 was approved by the Mayor and Common Council in August, 1983 to
establish an Agreement between the City and School District for delivery of lunches
and snacks to the City's Delmann Heights Head Start Center.
The resolution has been extended in subsequent years by resolutions 84-306, approved
in August, 1984,85-240 (July, 1985) and 86-315 (August, 1987).
Recommended motion:
Adopt the resolution.

RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 4 STAFF REPORT
TO FOOD SERVICE AGREEMENT RELATING TO
DELIVERY OF LUNCHES AND SNACKS TO
DEL~~NN HEIGHTS HEAD START CENTER.
The present agreement, Resolution 83-273 as amended has worked satisfactorily.
There is no change except to extend the Agreement for another year until June
30, 1988 and to raise the price of preparation of student lunches from 82~ to
85~.
Recommend approval.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL
3 DISTRICT RELATING TO THE DELIVERY OF TYPE A LU~!CHESAND SCHEDULE B SNACKS TO
CITY'S DELMANN HEIGHTS HEADSTART CENTER, TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE AGRW1ENT
4 FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIOD AND INCREASE THE STUDENT LUNCHES TO EIGHTY-
FIVE CENTS EACH.

6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

8 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized
9 and directed to execute on behalf of said City Amendment No.4 to the
10 Agreement ~Iith the San Bernardino City Unified School District relating to
11 the deli very of Type A Lunches and Schedul e B Snacks to City's Del Plann Hei ghts
12 Headstart Center, to extend the term of the agreement for an additional one
13 year period and increase the student lunches to eighty-five cents each, a
14 copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein
15 by reference as fully as though set forth at length.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the

AMENDMENT NO. 4
"
FOOD SERVICE AGREEMENT
The Food Service Agreement between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (for Delmann
Heights Child Care Center) and the SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT, dated July 20, 1983, is hereby amended in the following manner:
1. Exceptions:
a. Paragraph 4., Second Sentence is amended to read:
Type A lunches will be billed at the rate of one dollar and
fifty cents ($1.50) each for adult lunches and eighty-five
cents ($0.85) each for Type A student lunch.
b. The Paragraph titled TERM is amended to read:
This Agreement becomes effective July 1, 1983, and will
continue until June 30, 1988, to be renewed the following
school year if both parties agree. This Agreement may be
amended by mutual consent of both parties.
2. Any prior amendment to this Agreement is hereby revoked to the
extent it is inconsistent with this Amendment No.4.
3. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement described herein
shall remain in full force and effect.
