CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Sewage from the area west of Lytle Creek Channel is conveyed in an 18-inch pipe, East of Lytle Creek, there is a section of 12-inch pipe. Flows have increased to a point where this 12-inch line is over- loaded. Maintenance problems have occurred in the past, and more can be expected in the future. Whenever this section is unable to convey the flow, raw sewage is discharged on the ground and flood control channel is in violation of the Water Quality Control 80ard regulations and Health Department codes. In- stallation of a relief sewer will provide additional capacity and eliminate the overloading problem. We recommend that a finding be made that installation of this relief sewer is needed for health and safety reasons. 7-16-87 75.0264
