Synopsis of Previous Council action:
12-17-84 -- Approval of concept and appropriation of $22,593.68 as City's
share of construction costs into 85-86 Budget Account No.
242-363-57364.
02-02-87 -- Authorization to Execute Program Supplement No. 43 to the
Local Agency-State Agreement to add bus stop renovation to
project 1 ist.
02-02-87 Plans approved and authorization qranted to advertise for bids,
upon receipt of approv~l from Ca1trans.
05-18-87 -- Resolution No. 87-18S adopted awarding a contract to Red1ands
Paving, Inc. for the low bid price of $103,15G.00.
Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor, in accordance
with Plan No. 7048, be approved and accepted; and that
final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien
period.

STAFF REPORT
All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed
as of 8-10-87.
The contract was awarded for the low bid price of
$103,156.00. The actual final contract price is $90,017.94, due
to the final quantities of asphalt concrete and aggregate base
being less than the estimated quantities in the bid documents.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted, and
that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien
period.
