Source: Finance: Council Notes: A___..l_ 1...__ r..l_ s-~ Clfrv OF SAN BERNARD~O - REQUWT FOR COUNCIL Acl10N STAFF REPORT On July 6, 1987, the Mayor and Common Council approved the recommendation of the General Plan Task Force for the selec- tion of ENVIACOM CORPORATION to complete professional service for the revision of the General Plan. The Planning Depart- ment has met or communicated on several occasions with Mr. Woody Techer, Project Manager and ENVIACOM staff about changes to the original request for proposal (RFP) submitted. The original cost of the RFP was $671,990 and the cost has been revised downward to approximately $598,810. Attached is a contract for services and a resolution calling for its adoption. Also included as backup are exhibits outlining the detailed costs and the work program. The consultant is suggesting a separate IBM software program for data manage- ment but that issue will need to be reviewed separately with the City's Data Processing Manager. URGENCY CLAUSE This item is scheduled as a supplemental agenda item as a matter of urgency due to the importance of proceeding with the General Plan Revision as quickly as possible. 1-3D -oR?
