Permission is requested to fil I an upcoming vacancy of a fire
fighter position. Fire Fighter Sam Jones wi II retire on
August 1, 1987, on a non job related disability. It is
imperative to fi II this vacancy as soon as possible in order
to retain the minimum daily staffing level for fire suppres-
sion. If this level is reduced, fire protection and medical
aid service wil I diminish.
