Synopsis of Previous Council action:
7-1-85 --- Resolution No. 85-235, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscaping maintenance district.
6-3-85 --- Resolution No. 85-197, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the construction and maintenance
of said landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provlslons of Chapter 12.90 of. the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 85-235 and 85-197, which established the District, the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 968 (Airport Drive
Landscape Maintenance) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1987-88 totals $3,720.53 and is submitted to your Honorable
Body for ac ti on as requi red.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL OF THESE ASSESSMENT ROLLS BE APPROVED BY THE MAYOR AND
COMMON COUNCIL AND SUBMITTED TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR'S OFFICE BY THEIR DEADLINE OF
AUGUST 10.

RESOLUTION N~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1987-88
ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 968, LANDSCAPING
MAINTENANCE, AIRPORT DRIVE BETWEEN COMMERCENTER EAST AND
COMMERCENTER WEST.

WHEREAS, by Resol uti on No. 85-235, the Mayor and Common
5 Council found that the public interest, convenience and
6 necessity required the formation of a landscaping maintenance
7 di stri ct; and
8 WHEREAS, by said Resol ution No. 85-235, the Mayor and
9 Common Council formed an assessment district known as Assessment
10 District No. 968 for the purpose of providing landscaping
11 maintenance in the area of Airport Drive between Commercenter
12 East and Commercenter West pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
13 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code; and
14 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-197, the Mayor and Common
15 Council declared that all the land included within the boundaries
16 of said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
17 landscaping; and
18 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 85-197 declared that an
19 annual assessment shall be levied on all land within the district
20 top r 0 v ide fun din g for sa i d I and s cap i n g m a i n ten a n c e and the
21 administration thereof; and
22 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totalling
23 $3,720.53
which sets forth the individual assessments to be
24 levied on each of the parcels of land within Assessment District
25 No. 968 for the fiscal year 1987-88;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
2 COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF SAN 8ERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
:.J SECT ION 1. Tha t the Hayor and Common Counci 1 do hereby
4 find and determine that the proportionate costs to be levied
5 against the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 968
6 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll No. 968 for the fi scal
7 year 1987-88, designated as Exhibit "A" and attached hereto, and
8 do hereby confirm said assessments.
9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a
10 copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the
11 AUditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the
12 request that the individual assessments be placed on the
13 subject 1987-88 property tax bill s for collection together wi th
14 all other property taxes.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
16 adopted by the Mayor and Common Counci 1 of the Ci ty of San
17 Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
