Each Spring the department employees up to 30 part time Extra Relief Heavy Laborers to enable permanent/general personnel to take vacations during the Sunmer months while school is not in session. This year due to lack of in- terest on the part of applicants for part time employment, we were unable to fill enough positions to continue operations in an acceptable manner.
