2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
9.90.010 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO AUTHORIZE
3 POLICE ASSISTANTS TO ARREST AND ISSUE NOTICES TO APPEAR FOR
VIOLATIONS OF STATE STATUTES PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA PENAL CODE
4 SECTION 836.5.

6 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

8 SECTION 1. Section 9.90.010 Subsection A paragragh 2 of
9 the San Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:
10 "2. Police Assistants are authorized and empowered to
11 arrest and issue notices to appear for violations of the
12 provisions of this Code and state statutes pursuant to
13 California Penal Code Section 836.5."
