STAFF REPORT
The City of San 8ernardino acquired this parcel by a Tax Deed in
1974 for delinquent taxes in the amount of $4,079.43.
The subject property was originally used as a neighborhood recre-
ation center, which included a swimming pool. When the City acquired the
property, the swimming pool was filled with sand and the improvements have
been used as a neighborhood park,and clubhouse for various groups. including
the Boy Scouts of America. However, the cost for maintenance has increased to
a point where it is no longer feasible to maintain the structure for its
present use.
Seven appraisers were contacted in regard to bidding on the
appraisal of this property and two other City-owned parcels. Mr. C. M.
Benefiel was the appraiser used to appraise this parcel. His value of
$40,000,00 will be used as the low bid for the sale of this parcel.
We recommend that the resolution be adopted.

SECTION 1. Notice is hereby given inviting competitive
sealed and oral bid proposals for the disposition of the
following real property. more particularly described in and
subject to the terms of Specification No. 15.05-171 on file in
tile office of, the Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Real
Property Section, City Hall. 300 North "D" Street. San
Bernardino. California, and generally described as follows:
"A rectangular parcel of land totaling approximate-
