Synopsis of Previous Council ection:
April 27, 1970 -- Mayor and Council adopted Resolution No. 10234
authorizing joint exercise of powers agreement
between the City of San Bernardino, the Redevel-
opment Agency of the City of San Bernardino and
the County of San Bernardino creating the
San Bernardino Civic Center. Authority.
Recommended motion:
That the Mayor and Council reappoint San Bernardino Civic Center
Authority Members, Adams, Konkler, and Parker to four year terms,
with terms of offiqe to expire as noted in the att?ched memorandum
dated April 14, 1987.

STAFF REPORT
Subject: San Bernardino Civic Center Authority
Date : April 15, i987
The San Bernardino Civic Center Authority was created via
Resolution No. 10234 on April 27, 1970 under a joint exercise
of powers agreement between the City of San Bernardino, the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino and the
County of San Bernardino.
The purpose of the San Bernardino Civic Center Authority is
to enable the City, County and Redevelopment Agency to
exercise their powers jointly in providing for the develop-
ment of the Central City Area as a comprehensive Civic Center
Complex for City, County, State and Federal buildings and
including, without limitation, public buildings and accessory
structures for City and County, together with parking facil-
ities, various private areas, walks, landscaping, parks and
other facilities necessary and desirable for a downtown civic
center complex. This purpose would be accomplished and the
powers of the various agencies would be exercised in the
manner set forth in the Agreement, as included as part of
Resolution No. 10234.
