Synopsis of Previous Council action:

Mayor and Council referred to the Legislative Review Committee
the issue of legislation to require submittal of a duplicate
final or parcel map, displaying information not affecting
record title interests.

Legislative Review Committee recommended implementation of
Government Code Section 66434.2 which delineates the information
required under an ordinance to be presented on additional
survey and map information documents.
Recommended motion:
Refer proposed ordinance to the Environmental Review Committee
pursuant to Resolution No. l3l57 Section 12.

ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING TITLE 18
OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING THAT ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION CAN BE FILED OR RECORDED SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE
FINAL OR PARCEL MAP. " .
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. section 18.24.095 of the San Bernardino

Municipal Code is added to read as follows:
"18.24.095 Requirement of filing or recording additional
information with final map.
A condition may be imposed on each tentative map which
requires that additional information be filed with the City

Engineer.
The Department of Public Works/City Engineer shall
have such information recorded simultaneously with the final
or parcel map.
Additional survey and map information may
include, but shall not be limited to, building setback lines,
flooding and zones, seismic lines and setbacks, geoloqic
mapping and archaeoloqical sites.
The additional information may be in the form of a

separate document or in an additional map sheet which shall

indicate its relationship to the final or parcel map, and
21
shall contain a statement that the additional information is
22
for informational purposes, describing conditions as of the
23
date of filing, and is not intended to affect record title
24
interest. The document or additional map sheet may also
25
contain notations that the additional information is derived
26
from public records or reports, and does not imply the
27
correctness or sufficiency of those records or reports by the
28
preparer of the document or additional map sheet."

Municipal Code is added to read as follows:
"18.28.250 Requirement of filing and recording
additional information with parcel map.
A condition may be imposed on each tentative map which
requires that additional information be filed with the City
Engineer. The Department of Public Works/City Engineer shall
have such information recorded simultaneously with the final
or parcel map. Additional survey and map information may
include, but shall not be limited to, building setback lines,
flooding and zones, seismic lines and setbacks, geologic
mapping and archaeological sites.
The additional information may be in the form of a
separate document or in an additional map sheet which shall
