STAFF REPORT
The appellant, Temple Baptist Church, took out Permit No. 62896
on October 7, 1985, for an addition to their church building at
1583 W. Union Street. The permit has expired due to lilck of
inspections, but could be reactivated for 1/2 of the original
$925.56 building permit fee (i.e. $462.78). The appe11antrequests
a waiver of the fee for renewal due to economic hardship.
Staff has no specific objection to this request, however it should
be noted that fee waivers are generally a poor policy since they
tend to snowball, resulting in many requests that are difficult to
turn down, based on equal treatment of constituents.

Dear Building Dept.:
I am aware that my permit fbr Temple Missionary
Baptist Church at 1583 W. Uhion St., San Bdno, CA
aas expired. I called for an inspection and found
there is a fire code that I must abide by which
was not drawn up in the original plans. There was
also some changes that was to take place whose
plans was just completed. As soon as the Church
makes the decisions on the plans I will submit them
to you for a plan check and proceed with the proper
corrections so I can complete the building.
I am requesting an extension on my permit.
