At the request of the department, and in co-ordination with Deputy Fire Chief Richard Moon, appropriate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area vendors, Bids were opened and publicly declared on February 17, 1987, the following is a summary of bids received, C(IIlANY TOM BELL CHEVROLET DE ANZA CHEVROLET LAKESIDE CHEVROLET CREST CHEVROLET RICHARD HIBBARD CHEVROLET, INC, TOTAL BID INCLUDING TAX $18,864,82 $18,893.76 NO BID $18,630,56 $18,522,32 Eighteen bidders were solicited, only five responded, one with NO BID, four with a bid price, thirteen vendors failed to return the "NO BID STATEMENT" in the bid package, Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Deputy Chief of the Fire Department, who concurs that the bid of Richard Hibbard Chevrolet meets specifications and require- ..-. ments, It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract in accordance with Municipal Code 3.04.070, D & F. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO RICHARD HIBBARD CHEVROLET, INC, FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE (1) NEW 1987 SUBURBAN WAGON TO BE UTILIZED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS A MOBILE COMMAND POST IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-20, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER- NARDINO AS FOllOWS: SECTION 1.
