Synopsis of Previous Council ection:
1985 An amount of $10,000 allocated to commence necessary preliminary
engineering and right-of-way acquisition.
Report relative to preparation of plans accepted and filed,
Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids,
Bid in the amount of $82,155 rejected, and Director of Public
Works authorized to re-advertise in about 2 months,
9-22-86 -- Resolution No, 86-379 adopted awarding contract to Redlands Paving,
Inc, for the low bid price of $77,458.75.
12-22-86 - Contract Change Order No. One approved authorizing the Contractor to
relocate existing In-N-Out Burger business sign, for an increase in con-
tract price of $595.00, from $77,458,75 to $78,053,75.

Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor in accordance
with Plan No, 6890, be approved and accepted; and that
final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien

STAFF REPORT
All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed as of
February 27, 1987.
The contract was awarded for the low bid price of $77,458.75.
Contract Change Order No. One, for the relocation of a business sign, in-
creased the contract price to $78,053.75,
The actual final contract price is $80,696.75, due to an increase
in the amount of asphalt concrete placed, over the original estimated amount
for variable thickness pavement; and an increase in quantity of sidewalk
concrete placed, in order to remove and replace existing sidewalk that had
been damaged by tree root growth.
We have reviewed these pay quantities and have determined them
to be justified. Therefore, we recommend that the work be approved and
accepted, and that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the
1 ien period.
