STAFF REPORT
Engineering Division was requested to examine the need for a
stop sign on Citadel Avenue at College Avenue.
College Avenue is 64'-wide. curb to curb. and functions as a
collector street in a newly developed residential area. The
traffic volumes on both College and Citadel Avenue are expected
to continue increasing at a rapid rate. Several new con-
structions are near completion.
This request was presented to the Mayor's Traffic Safety
Committee for their review. The Committee members unanimously
recommend that 2-way stop signs be installed on Citadel at its
intersection with College Avenue.
INSTRUCTION TO CITY ATTORNEY:
Please add the following street to subsection (17.55) of
Section One. Resolution 2482:

NO. 2482 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION . . . DESIGNATING CERTAIN
STREET INTERSECTIONS WHERE A STOP IS ,REQUIRED . . ." TO AUTHORIZE
THE INSTALLATION OF A TWO-WAY STOP SIGN ON CITADEL AVENUE AT
COLLEGE AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Resolution No. 2482, which designates certain
8 street intersections where a stop is required, Section One
9 Subsection (17.55) is amended to read:

"(17.55) For the purpose of stopping traffic entering
11 COLLEGE AVENUE at its intersection with the following streets:
12 varsity Avenue - southbound only
13 Citadel Avenue-

15 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
