CIO OF SAN BERNARDCO - REQUIQr FOR COUNCIL ACOoN STAFF REPORT Over tne past 20-plus years, several surrounding governmental agencies have contracted Anima'J Shelter Services with the City of San Bernardino because they had no animal shelter of their own. San'Bernardino County has now built its own animal shelter, however, wishes to enter into an agreement with -us as a 'supplement to their smaller shelter. The City of Redlands also Itasitsown shelter, however, its fun operational date is yet uncertain. Colton and Loma Linda have approved the attached respective contracts. The City 'of Rialto no longer desires our services as they have entered into an agreement with San Bernardino County for shelter services. The attached agreements.are for a five year term, to expire June 30,1991. Fee increases are scheculed as follows: Jul y 1, 1986 to June 30, 1987. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENTS WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AND THE CITIES OF COLTON, LOMA LINDA, AND REDLANDS RELATING TO ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES. This is an amendment to our contract with the city of San Bernardino to impound and dispose of stray animals. This amendment would increase the impound price for livestock (e.g., horses, sheep, etc.) to a maximum of $12,50 per day for large animals. The current maximum is $4.00 per day. Rates for other animals are unchanged. Expenditures are included in the Department of Public Health's approved FY 19B6-B7 budget. This is the second amendment to the original contract that was approved by the Board of Supervisors on July 1, 19B4. . City and Contracting Agency agree as follows: 1. Recitals.
