REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF FEES: TOYS FOR STAFF REPORT
TOTS TOURNAMENT
FEBRUARY 9, 1987
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has requested that fees be waived for the
use of Encanto softball fields for the purpose of conducting the annual "Toys for Tots"
softball tournament on April 11 & 12, 1987. Rental fee would be $100 for the two fields
since the tournament would not be using lights.
Tournament sponsors will be furnishing a liability policy that will name the City "Addition-
ally Insured". The binder will be forwarded as soon as sponsors complete arrangements.

Dear Mr. John Kramer,
On the weekend of April II and 12, 1987, the "Toys for Tots"
Public Employees' Group is having a softball tournament.
The group is made up of employees from the Coroner's Office, the
Assessor's Office, the Clerk's Office, the Public Defender's
Office, the Marshal's Office, the Sheriff's Department and the
California Highway Patrol. There are over 240 people who will
participate.
The tournament is organized to raise funds which are to be
donated in full to a needy organization. The proceeds from this
game will go to the Easter Seal Foundation.
The purpose for this letter is to let you know that arrangements
have been made for the tournament to be held at Encanto Fields.
We are asking for consideration on waiving part of or all the fees
required by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Any favorable consideration on your behalf or the City Council's
in waiving part of or the whole fee will be greatly appreciated.
