Recommended motion:
That the Department of Public Services be authorized
to use City forces for the resurfacing of street cut
within the jurisdiction of the County of San Bernardino
on 42nd between "Hll and "F" and on ifF" from 42nd to
Kendall Drive, to be paid by the Water Department.

STAFF REPORT
Water Departme~t crews installed a new 16" water main in
C9unty streets to provide water service for the Block Bros.
development that will occur at Shandin Hills. The main
installation was installed in the following streets:
42nd from North "H" Street to North "F" Street; and on "F"
Street from 42nd to Kendall Drive.
The County of San Bernardino is requiring a twelve foot
asphalt overlay on the streets where the Water Department has
installed a temporary patch. The time frame required by the
County makes it impracticable to develop formal specific-
ations and receive bids because the permit to excavate and
restore is expiring.
It is recommended that the Public Service Department be
authorized to resurface the above streets. The DirectDr Df
Public Services has advised that this project can be ac-
complished and fit into their work schedule. The estimated
cost is $15,000.00.
