OF WATER COMMISSIONERS RELATING TO
THE USE OF PALM FIELD FOR RECREATION

The Agreement for use of Palm Field has been in effect for 10 years and has
proven to be a workable agreement for both City Parks. Recreation and Community
Services and the City Water Department.
Improvements have been made and additional improvements are now scheduled to
upgrade the lighting with the use of 1986 Bond Act Funding.
Recommend the Agreement be extended another 10 years as indicated in the at-
tached Amendment.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH THE BOARD OF
WATER COMMISSIONERS RELATING TO THE USE OF PALM FIELD FOR
RECREATIONAL PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a First
Amendment to Agreement with the Board of Water Commissioners
relating to the use of Palm Field for recreational purposes, a
copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "Aft and incorporated
herein by this reference as though fully set forth at length.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino at a

THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into this

BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS, hereinafter called "Board" and the

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, hereinafter

1. Recitals.
A. The parties hereto entered into an Agreement on June
23, 1977, for the use of Palm Field for recreational purposes for
a term of ten years commencing February 1, 1977 and terminating
February 1, 1987, hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement".
B. The parties now desire to extend the term of the
Ag~~Em2nt for ~~ additional ten-year period ~0mmpn~ing February
1, 1987 and terminating January 31, 1997.
2. Implementation.
A. The term of the Agreement shall be extended for an
additional ten years commencing February 1, 1987 and terminating
January 31, 1997.
B. All other covenants, conditions and provisions of
the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS \mEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment
on the date first hereinabove written.
