Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Detective Covey has attended the Intelligence Seminar four (4) times previously
with the Council's approval.
Recommended motion:
That out of state travel for Detective Ron Covey to attend the 5th Annual
Intelligence Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 31 through April 3, 1987,
be approved.

STAFF REPORT
The topics that will be covered at this annual meeting are Crack Labs,
Rico Statutes and Asset Forfeitures, Organized Crime in Southern California,
Asian Organized Crime, and Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs. These are but a few of
the topics that will be discussed. Each of the above mentioned topics either
impact presently, or will impact the City of San Bernardino in the future.
Detective Covey has attend four previous seminars held in Las Vegas and
reports that they are quite useful in his endeavor.
The cost to the City will be $333.40.
