A complaint was received on August 1, 1989 in regards to abandoned vehicles
located at 581 Belden, S. B. CA.
The owner was given a five (5) day courtesy notice and no volunteer action
was taken and a formal legal ten (10) day notice was issued on August 4, 1989.
Legal notice was mailed to land and registered owners. No action was taken by either
and no appeal was iJ.led. Vehicle was abated August 14, 1989.
There was one (1) vehicle towed for a total of $138.50.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BBRNARDINO ASSBSSING
CBRTAIN PARCBLS OF REAL PROPBRTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF
SAN BBRNARDINO FOR THB COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF. PUBLIC
NUlSANCBS ON SAID PROPBRTIBS (CASB NO. 89 VAP-3tS-08)
5 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority
6 under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give
7 notice of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the
8 properties described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated in this
9 resolution; and
10 WHBREAS, pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the
11 Supe.rintendent of Public Buildings served notice to all property owners of
12 the abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, and/or
13 inoperative vehicles or parts thereof from the property: and
14 WHEREAS, opportunity for a hearing before the Board of Buildinli
15 Commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property
16 owners, with no response forthcoming;
17 NOW THERBFORB, BB IT RBSOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
18 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BBRNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
19 SBCTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council confirm and adopt as
20 special assessments, the following abatement costs which have been incurred
21 by the City for the abatement of public nuisances found to exist on the
22 following properties:

SECTION 2. The above assessments shall be paid to Public Buildingsl
basement of City Hall, 300 N. "0" Street, San Bernardino,
withill thirty (30) days after notice of this resolution is malled to
parties with an interest in the above properties. aU assessments not
y paid in thirty (30) days shall become a lien on the property pursuant
6 0 the San Bernardino Municipal Code and shall be collected as a special
7 ssessment thereon.

SECTION 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove
rovided, the City Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution
ith the Auditor of. the County of San Bernardino, State of California,
"recting that said assessment be entered as a lien against the property as it
ppears on the current assessment rolls. The assessment shall be collected
13 t the same time and in the same manner as the general property taxes for
14 he City of San Bernardino including penalties and interest for delinquent
15 ayments.
16 The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate notices of
17 he imposition of these liens with the County Recorder..
18 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted. by
19 he Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino.
