STAFF REPORT
Assessment No. 1
A complaint was received on August I, 1989 in regards to abandoned
vehicles located at 2783 Spruce Street, San Bernardino, CA.
The owner was given a five (5) day courtesy notice and no volunteer
action was taken and a formal legal ten (10) day notice was issued on August
3, 1989. Legal notice was mailed to land and registered owners. No action
was taken by either and no appeal was filed. Vehicles. were abated August
8, 1989.
There were two (2) vehicles towed for a total of $138.50 per vehicle
for a total of $277.00.

RESOLUTION OP THE CITY OP SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING
CERTAIN PARCELS OP REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OP
SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC
NUISANCES ON SAID PROPERTIES i(CASE NO.,8I'VAP-33'1-08)
5 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority
6 under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give
7 notice. of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the
8 properties described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and. incorporated in this
9 resolution; and
10 WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code. the
11 Superintendent of Public Buildings served notice to all property owners of
12 the abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantle.d, and/or
13 inoperative vehicles or parts thereof from the property; and
14 WHEREAS, opportunity for a hearing before the Board of Building
15 Commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property
16 owners, with no response forthcoming;
17 NOW THEREFORB, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
18 COUNCIL OP THB CITY OP SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
19 SBCTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council confirm and adopt as
20 special assessments, the following abatement costs which have been incurred
21 by the City for tl1e abatement of public nuisances found to exist on the
. 22 following properties:

1 SECTION 2. The above assessments shall be paid to Public Buildings'
2 Parking Control, basement of City Hall, 300 N. "D" Street, San Bernardino,
3 CA. 92418, within thirty (30) days after notice of this resolution is mailed to
4 all parties with an interest in the above properties. all assessments not
5 fully paid in thirty (30) days shall become a lien on the property pursuant
6 to the San Bernardino Municipal Code and shall be collected as a special
assessment thereon.
