CITY OF SAN BERt&RDINO - REQUEST .c4R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT AsseSSment No. 1 A complaint was received on August 1, 1989 in regard to abandoned vehiCles located at 2618 W. 6th. Street. Formal legal ten (10) day notice was issued on August 3, 1989. Legal notice was mailed to land and registered owners. No action was taken by either party and no appeal was filed. Vehicles was abated on August 22,. 1989. There was one (1) vehicle towed for a total of $138.50. CASE NO. 89 VAP 325-08 75-0264 o o 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINQ ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF A.BATEMinfT OF PUBLIC 4 NUISANCES ON SAID PROPERTIES CASE NO. 89 VAP 325-08 5 3 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give notice of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the properties described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution; and WHEREAS. pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the Superintendent of Public Buildings served notice to all property owners of the abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, and/or 13 inoperative vehicles or parts thereof from the property: and 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, opportunity for a hearing before the Board of Building Commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property owners, with no response forthcoming: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council confirm and adqpt as special assessments, the following abatement costs which have been incurred by the City for the abatement of public nuisances found to exist on the following properties: Assessment No. Assessor's No. Property Address Amount of Assessment 1 142-454-01 2618 VI. 6th. "D" Street, San Bernardino, 4 CA. 92418, within thirty (30) days after notice of this resolution is mailed to 5 all parties with an interest in the above properties. All assessments not 6 fully paid in thirty (30) days shall become a lien on the property pursuant 7 to the San Bernardino Municipal Code and shall be collected as a special 8 assessment thereon. 9 SECTION 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove 10 provided, the City Clerk is directed to file a c!,!rtified copy of this resolution 11 with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, 12 directing that said assessment be entered as a lien against the property as it 13 appears on the current assessment rolls.
