06-20-88 --- Authorization to proceed was granted and Plan No. 7531 was
approved.
Recommended motion:
1. That the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and the City Clerk
are authorized to proceed with the amended proposal for the
vacation of a portion of Lugo Avenue, North of 4th street.
2. That Plan No. 7531 , as amended, is approved.

STAFF REPORT
On April 15, 1988, this office received a request to vacate a portion of Lugo
Avenue, North of 4th street, from adjacent property owners on both sides of the
area proposed for vacation, as a result of a desire to redevelop the area.
After authorization was granted, staff commenced proceedings for the proposed
vacation, which included,the notification of all interested City Departments and
utility Companies.
The proposal, as originally submitted, would have given access to Lugo' Avenue
from Sierra Way, by the additional dedication of an East/West alley.
The petitioner has recently advised us that, due to a

The petitioners have paid an, additional $200.00 fee, which covers half of the
proceedings. An additional $200.00 will be due upon the conclusion of our
investigative findings, and prior to the legal proceedings.
Due to this change, authorization must be given before the department can proceed
with the amended proposal. All interested City Departments and Utility companies
will be re-notified of the amended proposal. We recommend that such authorization
be given.
