Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Resolutions have been approved by the Mayor and Common Council since August
1983 to establish Agreements between the City and School District for delivery
of lunches and snacks to the City's Delmann Heights Head Start Center.
Resolution 88-362 was approved on September 19, 1988 to extend the Agreement for
the 1988-89 school year.
Adopt the Resolution.

RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 6 STAFF REPORT
TO FOOD SERVICE AGREEMENT RELATING TO
DELIVERY OF LUNCHES AND SNACKS TO
DELMANN HEIGHTS HEAO START CENTER.
The present Agreement, Resolution 83-273 as amended has worked satisfactorily.
There is no change except to extend the Agreement for another year until June
30, 1990 and to raise the price of student lunches from 90t to 94t. Student
snacks will remain the same at 25t each.
Recommend approval.

AMENDMENT NO. 6 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL
3 DISTRICT RELATING TO THE DELIVERY OF TYPE A LUNCHES AND SCHEDULE B SNACKS TO
CITY'S DEL~'ANN HEIGHTS HEAD START CENTER, TO EXTENO THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT
4 FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIOD AND INCREASE THE STUDENT LUNCHES TO NINETY-
FOUR CENTS EACH.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
6 BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized
8 and directed to execute on behalf of said City Amendment No.6 to the
9 Agreement with the San Bernardino City Unified School District relating to
10 the delivery of Type A Lunches and Schedule B Snacks to rity's Delmann Heights
11 Head Start Center, to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional one
12 year period and increase the student lunches to ninety-four cents each,
13 a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein
14 by reference as fully as though set forth at length.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
16 Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a

AMENDMENT NO. 6
FOOD SERVICE AGREEMENT
The Food Service Agreement between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (DELMANN
HEIGHTS CHILD CARE CENTER) and the SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT, dated July 1, 1983, is hereby amended in the following manner:
1. Exceptions:
a. Paragraph 4, Second Sentence .is amended to read:
Type A lunches will be billed at the rate of one
dollar and fifty cents ($1.50), each for adult
lunches and ninety-four ($0.94) each for Type A
student lunches. Schedule B snacks will be billed
at the rate of twenty-five cents ($0.25) each.
b. The Paragraph titl:~_TERM is amended to read: The
term of this Agreement shal1 be for a period beginning
July I, 1989 and ending June 3D, 1990. This Agreement
may be amended by mutual consent of both parties.
c. The Paragraph titled CANCELLA~ION, first sentence, is
amended to read: This Agreement may be cancel1ed by
either party upon the giving of sixty (60) days'
written notice to the other party.
2. Any prior amendment to this Agreement is hereby revoked to
the extent it is inconsistent with this Amendment No.6.
IN WITNESS ~~EREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment on
the day and year set forth below.
