Recommended motion:
That the equipment set forth in the Staff Report from the
Public Services Director, dated 8/25/89, be authorized for
purchase at a cost not to exceed $75,000, with funding to
corne from proceeds of bond refinancing.

STAFF REPORT
The City has arranged with the Sheriff's Department for an
increase in the number of "trustees" from the facility at
Glen Helen which can be utilized in the cleanup programs
throughout the community.
Crews will be working in various areas, simultaneously, and
it is, therefore, necessary that additional vehicles be
obtained to provide transportation and maximize the
production of this additional labor resource. Additional
weedeaters as well as other equipment are also needed.
In Order to implement the program, it is requested that the
following equipment be "purchased" as soon as possible from
an Account to be designated by the Director of Finance and
that the necessary expense be restored from the bond fund
revenues, when available.
2 ea. 12 Passenger Vans
2 ea. utility Trailers
1 ea. Small Truck
6 Weed-eaters
1 Chainsaw
Miscellaneous tools and safety equipment.
