CIT:POF SAN "RNARDINc9- REiUI!ST FOR COUNCIL ~TION STAFF REPORT The Water Department staff has been working with Southern California Edison Company (SCE) to relocate their existing 66 KV transmission line at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Exhibit "1" shows the existing and proposed alignment to the transmission line. The City of Riverside has a 25' wide road easement which traverses the entire easterly property ~ine of the plant, adjacent to the San Bernardino County Flood Control Channel. In order to relocate SCE's transm.ission line, a portion of the City of Riverside's road easement must be relocated. The proposed relocation of the road easement would move it west to allow for the transmission line along the property boundary. Upon granting the City of Riverside the revised road easement, they will Quitclaim a portion of the existing road easement. Exhibit "2", attached hereto, depicts the area to be Quitclaimed back to the City of San Bernardino. All documents relating to easements with the City of Riverside have been reviewed by their Real Property and Public Utility staff. The Board of Water Commissioners approved the proposed road easement with the approval of Southern California Edison's proposed transmlssion line easement. 75-0264 c - - - . o o Q 1 2 3 RESOLUTION NO. 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL, CITY OF SAN 5 BERNARDINO, GRANTING A 25' ROAD EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION WITHIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY AT THE 6 WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT. 7 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino owns property within a 8 portion of Lots 13 and 24 of Block 54, Rancho San Bernardino, on 9 which the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant is located; and 10 WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has an existing 25' road 11 easement that is located along the easterly boundary of the plant 12 site; and 13 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, by and through its Board 14 of Water Commissioners, has proposed the relocation of Southern 15 California Edison's 66 kv transmission line within the plant site 16 17 necessitating relocating a portion of the City of Riverside's road 8asement; and 18 WHEREAS, the proposed alignment of the transmission line and 19 road easement have been reviewed and approved by the Board of Water 20 21 Commissioners. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL 22 OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 23 SECTION ONE: That the City of San Bernardino hereby grants 24 to the City of Riverside, a Municipal Corporation, a 25' wide road 25 easement across Clty owned property as set forth in the Road 26 Easement which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" , and 27 incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at 28 length herein.
