As a result of this reorganization, an additional community service office is being opened at 1993 South Diners Court. The addition of the new office will require the purchase of basic office equipment as outlined in the attached memorandum. This basic equipment is essential in operating a business office (see attachment #1). Additionally, all seven community service centers (including Diners Court) are in need of renovation. These renovations include floor coverings, window coverings and interior painting (see attachment #2) . Our goal is to provide a professional business environment which promotes a pleasant meeting place for the community we serve. The Council recently approved a $15,000 expenditure on September 23, 1996 for community service office furniture (Citizens Option for Public Safety Program (COPS) funding). This additional request for purchase of needed business office equipment and office renovations will allow us to achieve our goal of a professional business environment (the existing community service offices have not been renovated since their opening) . It is our recommendation that the funds needed to accomplish this important task be taken from the asset forfeiture account. 75-0264 Attachment #1 City of San Bernardino San Bernardino Police Department Interoffice Memorandum To: Captain M. .
