CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans for the construction of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements to the Council Chambers and first floor restrooms have been completed and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists of modifications to the Council Chambers to make the speakers' area accessible to the disabled, modifications to the restrooms on the first floor to make them accessible to the disabled, and carpet replacement within the Council Chambers. Below is the estimated project cost: Architect's Estimate of Construction Cost Inspection and Contract Administration Sub-Total Contingencies (5%)! TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 74,960.00 3,000.00 $ 77,960.00 3,940.00 $ 81,900.00 Funds to finance the cost of the improvement are contained in two separate accounts. Account No. 001-322-5706 has $30,000.00 available while a CDBG Account No. 806-9012 is providing an amount of $42,684.00 for a combined total of $72,684.00.
