Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Council appropriated $20,805 from the civic and promotional funds for this
event on April 6, 1992.
Recommended motion:
That funding in the amount of $10,000 be allocated from the civic and promotional
account to assist the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department in
conjunction with the Inland Empire Symphony in the celebration of 4th of July
at Seccombe Lake Park.

STAFF REPORT
RBQUBST !'OR 4TH 01' JULY
I'UJITI)ZIIG.
The city Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
in conjunction with the Inland Empire Symphony is submitting
a request for civic and promotional funding in the amount of
$10,000 to assist in their 4th of July celebration at Seccombe
Lake Park. The funds will cover the following costs:
1. overtime costs for an electrician with a lift
truck to assist in set up and trouble shoot
any electrical problems ($300).
2. Purchase of flags and additional bunting
($500).
3. Improved amplification to carry the symphony
throughout the park ($1,000).
4. Upgrade of fireworks show ($3,500).
5. Funding for entertainment groups to perform between
3-7 p.m. Last year's groups volunteered and are not
available to do so this year ($1,000).
6. Donations are not available this year as they
had been previously ($1,650).
7. Additional funding to cover police reserve officers
for security purposes ($2,050).
