Synopsis of Previous Council action:
05-21-84 -- Resolution No. 84-191 adopted awarding a contract for
maintenance of landscaping to J & R Landscaping for the
low bid price of $2,340.00.
05-20-85 -- Resolution No. 85-192 adopted awarding a contract for
maintenance of landscaping to Sandahl's Landscape and
Maintenance for the low bid price of $2,040.00.
06-02-86 -- Resolution No. 86-209 adopted awarding a contract for
maintenance of landscaping to Mentone Turf Supply for
the low bid price of $2,690.00.
06-01-87 -- Resolution No. 87-175 adopted awarding a contract for
maintenance of landscaping in Assessment District No.
953 to Mentone Turf Supply for the low bid price of
$3,228.00. (Cont. on 2nd page)
Recommended motion:
1. That Change Order No. 2 to the contract with Mentone Turf
Supply, for maintenance of landscaping in Assessment District
No. 953, in accordance with Plan No. 6177, be approved, to
extend the contract for a period of one year, from 7-1-92 to 6-
30-93, at a 3.75% increase to contract unit prices, for an
increase in the annual contract price of $247.20, from
$6,592.00 to $6,839.20.

Mentone Turf Supply for the low bid price of $6,592.00.

for one year, at no increase to contract prices.

STAFF REPORT
The Special provisions provide that the contract may be
extended for up to two (2) one-year periods, by mutual consent of
the City and Contractor. Adjustments in the contract prices are
to be negotiated at the time of each such renewal.
Mentone Turf Supply previously agreed to an extension of
the contract for one year, from 7-1-91 to 6-30-92. Contract
Change Order No. Two extends the contract for another one-year
period, from 7-1-92 to 6-30-93, at an increase of 3.75% in the
contract unit prices, for an increase of $247.20, from $6,592.00
to $6,839.20.

Funds to finance the costs incurred for the contract and
incidental costs will be provided through an interfund loan from
the Sewer Line Construction Fund (245). The actual costs in-
curred will be recovered in the following year through assess-
ments on the parcels within Assessment District No. 953.
Inspection of the maintenance effort by the Contractor
will be provided by the Department of Parks, Recreation and
Community Services.

The Director of Finance is hereby directed to
