Description) Finance: Council Notes: 75-0262 Agenda Item No. :;~ .CITY OF SAN BERrQRDINO - REQUEST Q>>R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT The TelecOJlllUI1ications Division of the City of San Bernardino has been videotaping City Council meetings since July 1989, and to date all edited program masters and associated recordings have been archived (stored) on 3/4" video cassette tape stock. In order to reduce storage space requirements, the Division subnitted a Request for Council action in June 1990. During the June 18, 1990 Council meeting "Council Meni:ler Reilly made a IOOtion, seconded by Council Meni:ler Fstrada and unanilOOUSly carried, that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a resolution stating that all 3/4" master video cassette recordings of the City Council meetings produced by the Telecoomunications Division be archived (stored) for a period of five (5) years, after which time they will be recycled; and that the responsibility for archiving said recordings remain with the Telecoomunications Division." BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND Cl:JM!m OXlNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLCMS: SECTION 1. 1he Telecomnunications Division of the City is directed to archive all program master videocassette tapes of meetings of the Conmon Council for a period of five (5) years. SECTION 2. 1he Telecomnunications Division of the City is hereby authorized to destroy or recycle all program master videocassette tapes of meetings of the Comnon Council after a period of five (5) years.
