A total of 15 bids $390,015.26 to $539,142.80. The under the Engineer's Estimate of were received, ranging low bid of $390,015.26 is $515,501.00. from 24.3% The contract documents were prepared with Additive Alternate "A," (construction of a pilaster and wrought iron fence along the east boundary line) and Additive Alternate "B," (installation of '-67 trees). Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based upon the actual low bid price. We reco1lUllend that a contract be awarded, for the Basic Bid, and Additive Alternates "A" and "B," to the low bidder. Phase I includes, in general, grading, security lighting system, irrigation system, turf, wrought iron fence and some trees. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO VALLEY CREST LANDSCAPE, INC. FOR PHASE I OF PARK AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS AT BUCKBOARD PARK. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Valley Crest Landscape, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder for: Phase I of Park and Street Improvements at Buckboard Park, per Plans Nos. 7539 and 7662. A contract is awarded accordingly to said bidder for the Basic Bid, and 9 Additive Alternates "An and liB", for the total amount of 10 $390,015.26, but such award shall be effective only upon the 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 contract being fully executed by both parties. All other bids, therefore, are hereby rejected. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City; a copy of the contract is on file in the office of the City Clerk and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length. SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modi fica- tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or course of conduct of any party. SECTION 3. This resolution is rescinded if the parties to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution. / / / / RESO: AWA~~G CONTRACT TO VALLEY ~ST LANDSCAPE, INC.
