Recommended Motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve the following dates for reaular meetings of the Mayor and Common
Council/Community Development Commission for the year 2000: January 10 (second
Monday); January 24 (fourth Monday); February 7 and 22; March 6 and 20; April 3 and
17; May 1 and 15; June 5 and 19; July 10 & 24; August 7 and 21; September 5 and 18;
October 2 and 16; November 6 and 20; December 4 and 18.

regular meeting dates for 2000

Backaround
This is a request to have the Mayor and Common Council and the Community
Development Commission approve the following Council/Commission regular
meeting dates for 2000: January 10 (second Monday); January 24 (fourth
Monday); February 7 and 22; March 6 and 20; April 3 and 17; May 1 and 15;
June 5 and 19; July 10 and 24; August 7 and 21; September 5 and 18; October 2
and 16; November 6 and 20; December 4 and 18.
Except for the meetings noted in January and July, all other regular
Council/Commission meetings for 2000 will take place on the first and third
Mondays of each month, with the exception of those falling on a holiday. Due to
the holidays and the anticipated conflicts with meeting agenda deadlines, it is
proposed that Council/Commission meetings in January and July be held on the
second and fourth Mondays of the month (January 10 and 24) and (July 10 and
24), rather than the first and third Mondays.
With the Mayor and Common Council's approval of a year-long schedule of
reaular meeting dates, it would make it easier for all departments by providing
them with as much notice as possible of deadlines for submitting agenda items
for the entire calendar year.
Also, please note that the attached 2000 Council Meeting and & Agenda
Deadline Schedule shows the Christmas holidays to be observed on December
25, 26 and 29, 2000.
Recommended Motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development
Commission approve the following dates for regular meetings of the Mayor and
Common Council/Community Development Commission for the year 2000:
January 10 (second Monday); January 24 (fourth Monday); February 7 and 22;
March 6 and 20; April 3 and 17; May 1 and 15; June 5 and 19; July 10 and 24;
August 7 and 21; September 5 and 18; October 2 and 16; November 6 and 20;
December 4 and 18.
