ORDINANCE NO. MC-1276
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
SECrION 15.84..A OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO BUILDING PERMIT AND PLAN REVIEW FEES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Govt. Code Section 66014, fees charged for
building inspections, building permits, and plan review and application processing may not
exceed the estim..tAll reasonable cost of providing the service for which the fee is charged; and
WHEREAS, the Development Services Department has completed an analysis of said
fees in order to detennine the estimAtAll reasonable costs of the services rendered; and
WHEREAS, the last significant update of said fees occurred in 1991; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to update fees charged for building permits, inspections, and
plan review services in order to provide revenues adequate to support an appropriate level of
services in regards to the administration and enforcement of the California Building Standards
Codes as m..ndAted by the California Health and Safety Code, Section 17960.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO 00 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECrION 1: Section 15.04.080A of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"A. Applicable Fees: The fees for building, electrical, plumbing, and
mechanical permits shall be as set forth in the latest adopted edition of the Uniform
Administrative Code, subject to such amendments thereto as are adopted in this
Chapter, and subject to further amendments as adopted by resolution of the Mayor
and Common Council."
