Thank you ESRldp/ attachment . : -~ POSITION JUSTIFICATIONS The following are justifications for classified appointments, promotions and other personnel actions to be reviewed by the Mayor and Common Council at the February 22, 2000 Council meeting. CLASSIFIED GENERAL FUND 8. Personnel Analyst (Caldera. Diane) - Promotion CIVIL SERVICE This position screens applications for employment; prepares written examinations for all departments and the Water Department; prepares and briefs oral panels; coordinates all phases of the examination process as part of the recruitment process; and, supervises clerical division of the department. This position plays an extremely important role in the recruitment for City positions. 13. Comouter Ooerator (Karschner. Michael) - Promotion MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS This position handles the majority of Public Safety desktop troubleshooting, as well as all the Public Safety vehicle equipment issues with laptops, MDT's and MDC's. 14. Eauioment Mechanic I (Ontiveros. Ruben) - Appointment (Provisional) PUBLIC SERVICES The employee currently occupying this position is acting in a higher classification of Equipment Mechanic II. Due to manpower shortages and repair backlog, approval was authorized to hire three (3) provisional mechanics to provide adequate staff to meet the demands of the workload. This appointment is extremely urgent due to inspection schedules and safety issues for the fleet of vehicles. #7 2/22/00
